Camping scare stories.

About 20 years ago we took my 350 pound mother in law camping with us. We went to Carter's Lake in our 32 foot motor home and parked at a campsite in the Doll Mountain Campground. Gertrude took the queen size bed and refused to allow my wife to sleep with her. My wife slept on the couch that also served as a bed and I slept on the dining table that doubled as a bed. Gertrude need the cushions from the table to prop up her legs so I slept on the bare wood benches and table top. Gertrude barely fit thru the bathroom, door and wouldn't fit in the shower, but it didn't matter because she seldom bathed. When she sat on the toilet she couldn't stand up so I had to pull her up while holding my breath. By the third day our food was running low, the black water tank was full, and my back was hurting so bad I could hardly walk. We had planned to stay a week and took enough food to last even longer. The trip home would have bearable if the motorhome hadn't smelled like the bathroom at a Pakistani owned gas station. As soon as my back stopped hurting I sold the damn motorhome.
Well it's nasty but not scary

Not a camp story. Went to Kennesaw battlefield one night in the dead of summer “Ghost hunting”. Mind you I said dead of summer. Hot as balls. Walking around the open part of field and got to one spot. The temp dropped drastically to the point you could see your breath. I’m not really a believer in ghost and all that. But it was definitely pretty weird.

I’ve got a few more stories from when I went “ghost huntiing” back in the day when I was a teen. I’ll share them when I feel like typing them lol.

About 10 years ago I was re-keying locks at an old house in Lilburn. It was kind of a weird ranch with a basement in a newer subdivision. It was also a very hot night (11-12pm) in the summer and the house didn't have the HVAC active, but it did have lights. After I finished up the main level entries and installed the lockbox, I grabbed my tools and headed to the basement.
The basement had I think 3 keyed entries. I did the first one that was closest to the front of the home. As I installed the last lock, I swore I saw a shadow at my 4 o' clock. I turned and looked, but there was nothing but a large empty room.
I started on the 2nd entry and had a feeling something was watching and I was thinking I was just being stupid.
Start on the last entry in the back, and it suddenly got cold, don't remember seeing my breath though. Went from sweating to freezing and feeling something was there, but wasn't. I kept working and then started to smell sulfur, it was really strong too. Just got chills down my back at that time. I'm not the type to panic or get scared, but I couldn't wait to finish and get out of there ASAP.
I don't really have many more of these types of experiences, but I still can feel this one today. Always wondered if something went on at that old house in the past.

I’ve heard sulfer smell in a situation like that is no Bueno. Something evil if you believe in that such thing anyway.
