Can an Oregon resident carry in his car while in GA, SC and NC?

My brother who is a resident of Oregon is visiting me and I was wondering about the legality of loaning him a pistol (he's not a felon or other nonqualified person) and him keeping it in his car while he and his wife travel through several SE states. They are coming back through ATL and could drop it off with me then. What does the law say?

Neither SC or GA honor an Oregon carry license, not sure about car carry but SC requires the gun be carried in the glove box or console while driving in the state.
