Can anyone recommend a good scope for my new AR-15?

weaver is making a very nice 4 to 10 power with mildot reticle works great for long range shotting and does not cost to much. i got mine at sports acadmey in tallahassee

Expect to pay 25 to 75% of the cost of a good AR? Every time I buy a $1000 gun I know I'm going to spend another $500 on an optic of some type. Don't cheap out on an optic. Other than the gun going bang, where the round hits is king.

There's a range just up the street from my house on the 4 lane. Same one my dad took me to when I eas a kid that I told you about when were at dinner.

i agree with u but on my work guns i will pay more for the optics than i do the gun. i paid 400 for my 257 weatherby and have an 800 dollar scope on it but that rifle helps to make my living

I certainly agree with investing in a good optic. Spavent is exact. A gun is only of use if your hitting your target. If spending 50% - 75% of my guns cost on optics is going to help my accuracy then looks like I'll be spending a chunk of change. Lol
