Can I hunt with my mini 30,using a mag. that holds more than 5 rds?

Can I put 5 rds in a larger mag and be legal,or do I have to use a smaller mag?
my Rugers not accepting my smaller mags,since it's been Tapcoed out,only the higher cap mags

Unless something has changed very recently that I don't know about, you could hunt with whatever capacity magazine you want on a rifle.

Shotguns are where you get limited.

And for clarification, that magazine can be loaded with as many rounds as you want. Period. If you feel the need to slay hogs with a 100 round Beta Mag, knock yourself out.

I believe they make 10 rounders that may clear your stock.
