I met Art Linkletter in Japan in 68. I was in a Hospital where they were trying to stabilize me after about five operations in-county before shipping me Stateside to Walter Reed. I woke up from under heavy Medication and a Man was sitting next to my Bed praying. I thought it was a dream at first, and he asked, "Can I do anything for you Son?". "My name is Art, can you hear me?". I nodded and I told him I need a Drink of water and he poured me one, helped me sit up and sip it. He told me had prayed for me and everything was going to be alright. We talked for about 10 minutes then he left the Ward. A nurse told me he had sat by my bed and held my hand for about 20 minutes, talking to me before I woke up.. I never forgot that, a real fine Man. I miss him..
