I pulled my scout out of my heated safe the other day and noticed a tiny bit of rusty looking hue over the bluing. Last time I took the rifle shooting with my sons it did start drizzling a little as we headed in. The hue of rust just wiped off but is there something I could put over the stock and finish of the rifle to keep it pristine?

Neat little guns. We had one in our unit. Getting ammo was interesting through supply (.22/.410 shot shells). Ours was parkerized. I just kept a light coat of CLP on it. A blued one should do fine with CLP too.

I have one of the parkerized ones as well that I used to keep in a tool bin in my van. I never thought that the canvas bag I kept it in would attract so much moisture....

CLP or any good quality gun oil should help protect your bluing. Just pay more attention than I did. :)
