Carnivore Diet

In 6 months on carnivore I lost 65lbs. Never felt better. I eat beef, pork, chicken, eggs, etc. I only cook in lard or tallow. I only drink milk, water, or black coffee. Before I was 267lbs, high BP, High Cholesterol, now at a smidge over 200lbs, cholesterol and BP are now normal.

It’s a tough diet to maintain, especially when you’re busy. Cost isn’t so much an issue since we raise our own beef and pork.

In the past I’d tried other diets with no results, this is the only thing that’s actually worked for me.

Honestly once you sit down and look at it, it's not that much more expensive since you arent buying all the other crap. It evens out to a degree. I usually eat for less than $100 a week. It is tough when busy but you start learning the tricks over time.

It's the only way I've ever lost weight and kept it off for any length of time.

Started a water/black coffee 72 hour fast Saturday evening around 10:30. Man I feel so much better today. I'd gotten off the diet for a few weeks. Gained 7lbs over those 3 weeks. About to hit this diet hard again to get down to that goal weight.

My next weigh in is 28 April.

I didn't go full carnivore, but I started doing Keto back in early March, and my bathroom scale has been showing me at a shade under 180 again !
I've also been dabbling with fasting the past few weeks, nothing extensive, but aiming to get into autophagy pretty regularly.
Lately,I've been eating a single meal around 3:30-4:30, then fasting for the next 18-20+ hours, typically going walking or bicycling towards the end of the fast, then maybe having a hardboiled egg or piece of cheese.
I've been drinking plain black coffee in the morning to extend the fast.
If I have a T shirt on,and tell people I'm trying to lose some weight, they look at my like I'm delusional, but I still have a little torso gravy I'd like to squeegee off. I'm probably being too picky ( and maybe narcissistic, LOL!) especially being now in my 60's, but if I can pull it off without risk or even discomfort , what the heck, eh?

That’s awesome!! Congrats! I am down to 280 from 354 last April. Still loosely hanging on to the diet but not as strictly as I did, I’ve decided that I’m going to also stop drinking and see how that goes.

Had to go to the doc last week and for the first time in my life had a doctor tell me my blood pressure was borderline low which amazed me!
