Catfish/Seafood Restaurants/Buffets

We have The Redd House just outside Jefferson, GA. $19 per person. Buffet style place with catfish and some decent BBQ. Open Friday and Saturday. And I think they open after lunch on Sunday, but don't hold me to that one.

I really miss Charlie William's lodge outside Athens. That place was great. Catfish, crab and quail. They tore it down and built another damn subdivision. Complete shame. That place was beautiful with its solid log construction.

Don't know if it qualifies as w. ga but in Marietta there is a place called Bay Breeze. Really good gulf coast style seafood.

Big Daddy's down in Newnan has a great all you can eat King Crab leg deal every Tuesday and great New England Clam Chowder. I don know about catfish there though. Some of the best catfish I've had recently has been at Ebony & Ivory in Smyrna.

So, are they all gone from the west Ga. area? Tried Butler's Mill once and it wasn't worth the drive. A place in Carrollton in the old Walmart/Kroger center sells them on a buffet, but the food was all canned and not good. Sure hate that Front Porch and Capt. Billy's shut down. Never really cared for Catfish Hollow. Is Gumbeau's still open in Douglasville? Any good if it is?

Gumbeaux is good also near the Irish pub of highway 92 in douglasville.

Catfish Den in Hiram, Route 61 BBQ also has good catfish!

Seems it's closed down, too.

Gumbeaux's is excellent. Was there just last week. Had seafood chowder and shrimp po-boy. I love that place. But, would like to have a good seafood buffet close by too.

Yeah PTC not Newnan, very close to each other. We went there last summer when we were staying with friends in Newnan and looking for a place to move to in ATL.
