Be glad she's not your wife already. She will do it again. If she's got kids, then she's looking for a better deal than you can provide (hence your boss). She's flawed and broken. Pretty much in agreement here. Avoid at all costs doing anything in anger that will reflect poorly or hurt you. Right now all of your regrets can be placed at someone else's feet and not your own. It will be a lot easier to walk away carrying as little "baggage" as you can. Depending on the ages of the kids you may want to talk to them and make sure they understand that none of this is their fault and that you will always be there for them as a friend if they need you.

Finally pack your things and go. Find a job even it is temporary someplace else and take some time to figure out where to go next.

one thing you really need to do instead of just walking out is find out why she did it or it'll eat you up
