Century Arms c39 issue

I'm in the AK market right now. And for no other reason than I may sell it someday I'm probably gonna stay away from Century. I'm in Marketing, and this is more than likely false, but I've read too many times on too many AK specific forums that Centuries are built by drunken monkeys in the dark. I have zero experience with Centuries, but that is a lousy reputation to shake - even if it's 100% BS. Just like all the ads on here that say (No Taurus)

I've read from many of the guys who own Century that they would never buy one unless they can inspect it first. And I have ZERO gunsmithing skills.

Perception is reality.

No lol. After fixing faulty pieces the problem went away. Then I got rid of them all. Sorry ass AK clones.

Nope. I've had plenty and have plenty that run just fine. Even my wasrs outperform the century's no problem.

Yeah I'm not to wild about the paper clip pin retainer. I'm going to get a plate retainer for it, but that's a cheap upgrade. I have a few spare Vepr fire control groups, I might put on in it just for giggles.

Alot of times those retainer plates won't fit without modification. The problem when people modify them is it doesn't let the plate fully seat into the grooves of the axis pins. So I opted for tapco's L wire shepherds "hook" instead. I've got a tapco and a krebs retainer plate I'll ship both of them to u for $10 if u want. Neither r modified obviously. Also the ALG AKT triggers r awesome!

No, you're not alone. Every Century AK I have seen or fired has been excellent.
