Hey Guys, I am just posting this to hopefully find someone who might know about any sort of firing issue with the Century Arms c39 ( the first version i believe)...
I acquired this rifle recently, and i did not shoot it for way too long after i bought it, didnt have time. I cycle tested it frequently, as we all do when we get our new tool, and it worked both tests every time...
also on a side note i also own an AR that i built and i ONLY run brass cased ammo through that, althoguh prob not entirely necessary , I jsut do anyways..
So i mainly purchased a bunch of Golden Bear Brass cased 7.62 x 39 for my Century, because although i know AK usually get that wolf or tulammo steel cased, i wanted something to store better and i ahd no problems with brass on my AR so i figured i would pay a little more for brass...
all this might not be relevant, But anyways when i went to the range to shoot my century, i has a 30 rd mag with the golden bear 125 grain brass case, i fired one shot, and then on the second shot , the rifle just completely locked up and wouldnt fire or the bolt wouldnt move. it was an indoor range so i didnt want to mess with it too much inside, but long story short, basically slammed the butstock on the ground realyl hard while pushing the bolt back at the same time with the rifle facing up in the air and it actually opened up the chamber and ejected the live round out without firing lol.
and we even measured a different round with the one ejected and the one ejected was slightly bigger or deformed like this COULD have been the result of a manufacterur error in ammunition production, but it seems fishy, im just wondering if century's, or AK in general have issues like that with brass ammo or what, because after removing the live round, i tore down completely and put back together and cycle tested several tiems successfully...
havent test shot it again yet but if there is some kind of known issue out there or you got anyadvice it would be apprecaited !
