Century Arms c39 issue

I had a Century C39 that I recently sold for no reason other than cash needs. It fired everything perfectly, and all the reviews and magazine write-ups confirmed the same. I couldn't find a bad review on the original c39, but there is always a chance to have an issue with any weapon. I only used various brands of steel ammo with no feed, ejection or firing issues. Hope you figure it out, I would have to shoot it after the cleaning you did, hopefully it fixed it.

I've seen a Century Yugo Underfolder that had bad headspace but the cases weren't sticking in the chamber. The owner was just getting more gas expelled into his face than he wanted. Anything is possible on a Century build. Have the headspaced check just in case.

And yet, here is yet another thread on yet another forum about someone having "issues" with one of them.
My understanding is that they use to make low quality ak with stamped receiver but then they started milling out their own receivers and they really stepped up to be good. I prob need o feed it steel cases, cuz at the end of the day it's still an ak no matter how much I wanna keep it new, also there is like no wear yet inside and i guess it wants that wear on the sliding parts to function better. Kinda funny you have to wear it in

Almost everything I've read about Century's American made AK style rifles tells me to stay away from them. Whether it be a C39, C39 V2, or the RAS 47, most of what I've read has been pretty bad. They do import some great rifles though.
Yea I have heard a lot about them since I bought it. I heard what you said and I also heads the opposite ! Lol

The C39V2 I own is a much better value than some of Century's import kit guns. A converted Vepr is going to be the best AK you can own in my opinion, but I feel like Century has a good product in the C39V2.

So much Century hatred here, I've owned plenty of Century guns and the only one I had an issue with was a SAR-3 and I fixed it by putting the proper recoil spring and hammer in it for a 5.56 AK.

There is plenty of documented issues with Kimbers (including my own personal experience with them) and people will look down there nose at Rock Islands and praise Kimbers. Some issues people have with brands are psychological in nature due to the Internet.
