cerekote vs duracoat

wife is wanting some custom color added to her 38 revolver ( and possibly her LCP ). have heard differing opinions on cerekote vs duracoat....
such as: cerekote is harder but will crack if dropped
duracoat is "flexible" so wont crack if dropped but if scratched can/will peel


so what is the actual deal on these finishes?? and are both able to be done on poly ( lcp)?? thanks in advance.

Both can be done on Poly, but cerakote is going to look better and be more durable.

Cerakote is the better choice for a firearm that is to be used/carried.
