Yep, I thought the same thing. Been trying to acquire a 629-2e. My research shows them coming from the factory with the Paychs. and have seen a couple with the box and it has T S on it with the correct product code. Dazed and confused?.......I know it does not solve the P M mystery.TS was definitely Target Stocks.....those got removed and were missing from the gun .
It's supposed to be a Model 29. However, the yoke says 28-2. Notice the lack of a turn line. Only 4 rounds fired. I'm waiting to hear back from Smith on this oddity. I've let our knowledgeable ODT Smith&Wesson experts look at it and they think it left the factory in this configuration.Whatcha got there? 29? 57?
So it's chambered in 44? Does the frame look like a different finish than the barrel/cylinder?It's supposed to be a Model 29. However, the yoke says 28-2. Notice the lack of a turn line. No. Not at all. I've had 2 Gunsmiths and Leather head our resident ODT expert look at it. They all say factory. I'm planning on trading it for a shorter barrel 44.So it's chambered in 44? Does the frame look like a different finish than the barrel/cylinder?
beautifulI really love those old Smith's. The model 17 and 22 revolvers were .22 LR works of art. A lot of craftsmanship went into those old guns.
The original H&R firm was in business for over a century from 1871 to 1986. This is an H&R 999 .22 LR. It's a 9 shot break-top. My Dad had one that I shot in my youth and I found one on here in very nice condition. They are a lot of fun!
Oh ok, I thought you were gonna say chambered in 44 mag. I've seen some Frankenstein dirty harry guns put together with HP frames.No. Not at all. I've had 2 Gunsmiths and Leather head our resident ODT expert look at it. They all say factory. I'm planning on trading it for a shorter barrel 44.
