Buncha' 686 Pluses in odd Barrel Lengths--A Three-incher, Five-incher and --Seven-incher. The Seven-incher is particularly unusual in that there were only 67 made in that Production Run...
A couple I foolishly let get away--First, a NICE pre-Model 26 with some nice "Cokes"...
...and a decent pre-Model 27...
I bought this pre-27 from mikey357 10+ years ago. It's a low serial S80xxx serial number in great condition. I upgraded the stocks to non-relieved Targets (from non-matching Magna's).
I went thru my accumulation to find three nice sets of Coke stocks. I have one set on a 1959 Model 27 8 3/4", one on a 1961 Model 27-1 6", and another that I poached off a pre-29 that I sold.
They are all walnut diamond stocks with a lower finer (smaller) checkered base. At a rear view they look like a coke bottle.
