Thanks, they are very nice. The seller wasn't sure what he had and I wasn't sure about the wood. It doesn't look like any other Goncalo Alves I have ever seen.
Thanks for sharing, that's only the second set I have seen. I have 3 or 4 sets of the smooth Bananas and now I've gotten rid of all but one early J frame- they just don't look right on the later models to me. Very nice, as always JWC.1moondog, I have a set of banana grips on my carry piece. I have a picture, but the grips kind of washed out and appear lighter than they really are. I have always thought the wood was walnut on mine, but Goncalo Alves is a possibility for yours and mine as well. I also have a set of smooth banana grips. They are just a bit darker than my checkered ones. Not sure of the wood on those, but I suspect, Goncolo Alves.

Sorting through the many "artifacts" my 26 & 28 year olds left behind in the house for us to figure out what to do with. Found this Classic Wheel Gun eraser that I am most certain attended the Cobb Co school system at some juncture.
