Thank you for that, and yes this one is for sure to be passed down. I don't have to many guns total compared to many people on here, but I have more than a few. And over the years I have bought sold and traded to find out what I did and don't like, and pretty much know what I like now. So that's why my trading on here had essentially stopped the last year or so because I love what I have so I am keeping it. It might take me a while to save up to buy the next gun I like, but I would rather wait to get one than lose one I love. As of right now at of all of my firearms only ONE I would consider for possible trade or sell fodder and surprise suprise it's a Glock.
Honestly if I could never get a single other firearm for the rest of my life (giving that if mine breaks they can be fixed) I would be ok with that. I am completely content with what I have now. I hope to acquire some more revolvers, at least one real old Colt SAA, some other WW2 rifles etc. but those are all "Would be nice" guns, not "have to have". I want them to someday hopefully be passed down to my kids and theirs and so on and so forth, but don't be mistaken if my kids happen to grow up to be some gun hating left wings for whatever reason, I will still love them, but my guns will be willed to someone I find that does love guns and the history and stories in their wood and steel. Watch some random kid one day get the call of a lifetime. " Hello sir, you know old Mr. Gossett?. Yeah well he passed and he willed every gun he had to you" lol

And yes the holster that came with it is very nice, but I will have a custom made one for it. Know of any companies? I know ones for custom leather knife sheathes but not as much for revolvers. Maybe a chest rig, or cowboy style with belt made part of it....

Wow.its not every day I hear someone say that they would be content with just the guns they have if it came down to that.Makes me feel real selfish........... I can't help but wonder where I might pick up the application to be that kid though.

I have this sweet shooting S&W 686-6 Plus 4" but, they come from the factory with hideous Hogue Black Rubber Grips on them. Being a bit old school, I really like the look of Wood on my S&W Revolvers. I have been contemplating trying these Knock-Offs from Thailand for a long time. Well, I finally decided to try them and I must say, I am slightly impressed.

You find them all over eBay and Amazon. Surprisingly, they only took less than two weeks to get here, from Thailand. I have ordered Altamont Grips that took longer than that. I know the purists will say but, they are not made in America and that would be correct. I thought I would just share it with you. Well, you can see for yourself.

Round But K/L-Frame Conversion Rosewood Stocks. They are very, very close to the look and size of original S&W Wood Stocks.

I have been contemplating trying these Knock-Offs from Thailand for a long time. Well, I finally decided to try them and I must say, I am slightly impressed.

I have redressed several with my eBay friends from Thailand and have found them to be very satisfactory. Wood and polymer are both very nice for the price. . Your -6 looks great.
