Cleveland Ford’s “Lifetime Powertrain Warranty” is a scam.

My theory on vehicles but especially trucks is if it didn't come with it then IT won't break. Like power locks and windows or a damn start button or that **** where the engine cuts out if you're sitting still too long. ALL that **** just adds those layers of complications I talked about earlier.
My boss's 21ish Z71 has a camera built into the paper thin bull**** metal on what is now considered a tailgate. Well his son backed in into something and bent the very top of it a few months ago. The bare shell without the camera or the ELECTRIC release button or paint were NOT included in the over $2K price. THEN... It still had to be painted. I've seen plenty of those GM tailgates with gaping holes in them like a peeled Spam can . They won't even tolerate a parking lot bump in most cases. I don't wanna be that old Fudd hollering about "They don't make em like they used to..." but how can you not? If they were cheaper now given fragile tinfoil bodies that would be one thing but they're not. They're priced like houses were a few years ago and like most double-wides are still priced. I HOPE the entire industry implodes and gets a big dose of reality very soon.

Agreed. It's happened before

I spoke to a law firm and they have filed a nationwide class action lawsuit against Ford for refusing to recall and replace the 10R80 transmissions in the 2017-2022 F-150’s, Rangers, Explorers and Expeditions as they are unsafe and unreliable. They said to save my receipts and they’ve place me on their client notification list as it moves through the courts. Hopefully they will succeed and it will cost Ford billions in legal fees and to replace these faulty transmissions in every 2017-2022 vehicle and reimburse customers who’ve had to pay out-of-pocket.

I would love to see Ford go the way of Pontiac, Desoto and Plymouth and become nothing but a footnote in automotive history,
The transmission thing started in the 80s

It needs to happen. Hell it needs to happen really bad in the housing market. But I see all these video thumbnails for car channels saying Jeeps Dodges, Fords and even Toyotas ain't selling due to the insane MSRP and worse than that the markup and addendum **** that the dealer tries to tack on every damn vehicle. Who has the money for all that? The current Ford CEO recently said that if you don't earn at least $150ish a year then you can't afford a new car. So then how do they keep selling?

All good questions. I thought the housing market would've crashed a few years ago. I've seen it over and over a few times in my lifetime

I think it'd been worth it to take it to them. However they'd probably weasel out of it
If you took 5 or 6 "heavy set" unshaven, unwashed, baccy spittin' brothers with you in the same vehicle you might get some action. Speshly if they were to "accidentally" knock over a couple of spit cups in the customer lounge 😁.

Sorry to hear of your plight.

Disclaimer: This is not an "enticement to riot" suggestion. Y'all play nice, hear!
