So there I was, the only moron hunting for 100 miles. I had already done a good bit of walking and at about 8:30 decided to give another field a try. By 8:45 I had made it to the wheat and heard them chomping away and had identified a shoat dead ahead. Unbeknownst to me, two larger boars were at my 10:00, spotted me and made a mad dash for the briars. By the time I knew it, they were at 2:00 and I fired. The little Grendel entered at last rib and somehow avoided all the bad stuff and managed to take the lungs. He ended up crashing dead center of the briars and I had to do some landscaping. Total retrieval time was about an hour. A friend asked me if it was worth it, Hell yes it was.

Outstanding! Proof that you'll never kill one from the living room.
