CMP 1911 sales reopen to all!

For all you guys that keep talking about they're not worth the money because of the description have to understand they are underrating these guns by far I guess it's a CYA because they are much better than the description and I haven't seen one yet that could not be sold for $400-$500 more than what they were paid for. Here is my field grade Remington Rand that's like new except for scuffs

As you said there is a finite quantity.
When I was young WWII surplus was abundant and cheaply available but that was long ago and far away and all those things have disappeared with time.
I love mine. I got it in what I think was the second round of sales.
Service Grade RR with all matching parts except the grips. Everyone who has seen it from the FFL on down says it's one of the best they've seen from the CMP.
In market pricing I probably paid too much but in nostalgia and historical value it was a bargain.

my rack grade from early 2nd wave is a Colt in great shape. Shot it the other day and I'm very happy with it. I went with Rack because I wanted something with a little more wear but ended up getting an awesome pistol.

So how does pricing work? I looked around the website and could not find the price on the surplus 1911’s. The Tisas are $499, which is typically pricing for them.

Apparently inflation has hit the cmp too.
These prices are substantially higher then what I paid for mine a few years ago.

I think I will select a rack grade. I have seen Service grades and Field grades with replacement slides.
