The CMP will be making NEW M1 garands!!! But, IMO, just not the same as a WWII weapon. Receivers will be made by a company not far from the CMP.

Writing has been on the wall for awhile now. That's why you've seen a transition at the CMP towards the 1911 sales (which they have a ton of right now), the Tisas replica 1911s, and now new manufacture Garands. If you look at the CMP financials, though, you will see they are quite healthy and not going away any time soon....
Sounds like they may stop all mail orders due to inventory and just do store sales.
