It's getting down to the nitty gritty in Anniston, it was a good trip today. I was 8th in line with about 15 or so folks behind me. It's bittersweet to go down there now with so many empty racks but there were some deals to be had.
Verbatim from the mouth of Orest....."the last of the 1903's are officially on the racks" there were roughly 35-40 left when I left a little after lunch. One of the counter guys said they were working on some big end of year stuff though that may or may not include some M1 Carbines
I ended up with a pretty nice haul
Hooray for road trips!
-1942 Remington 1903A3 with a '42 barrel and a really nice M1905 bayonet cut down to the M1905/42 variant.
-two nice field grade SA Garands built on 1942 and 1944 receivers respectively
-four additional Garand Bayonets(including a really nice M5 variant for my H&R Garand)
-7 cans of Greek M2 ball ammo
-5 restorable M1 Carbine mags
-and a little .30 carbine ammo
