Not the greatest of job opportunities outside Savannah or Brunswick. I waited until after retirement to move back home, didn't want to spend 2+ hours a day driving. I know folks around Atlanta do it every day, but I'm just not built for that.

I didn't even mind working down at the port. Driving them new cars and seeing all kinda crazy wildlife out in the off site parking areas. But it didn't pay much for all the hours me and my wife worked.
But no I wouldn't live or even work anywhere near Atlanta. I grew up in Macon and try real hard not to go there anymore either.

Welcome. I was raised in Savannah, but could never stomach going back there now. SHS '64. I used to hunt on Isle of Wight near Midway.
