Coffee crusted steak..so good...

Thanks for the reminder… we used to coffee rub our steaks about 20 years ago. Daughter got us started. Great flavor on the grill. Don’t know why we stopped, maybe time to start again.
And NY strips do seem to work best.
 
Coffee is great on any beef cut. I use it on brisket and it makes a big difference. You can also use brewed coffee as a mopping sauce
 
I ordered the espresso rub from Sucklebusters. Looking forward to trying it. I am thinking a small chuck roast for first attempt. Taste part of it as is and save the other part for chili to give it a little smoke.
