Colt SAA style - which barrel length ?

5 1/2 unless you are going to do cowboy action shooting/SASS then go 4 3/4". Just looks better IMHO. or if you have one you are trying to match up to have a pair.

Get whatever bbl. looks better to your eye, and feels better when you hold them in your hand.

If history is important to you, and you want to get the barrel length that was most popular 130 years ago, why don’t you do some research and look at historical photographs of people posing with their Colt 1873 peacemakers?
See if you can tell what barrel lenghts they have and if there’s a consensus on what was most popular, go with that.
If both 4.X inches and 5.Y inches were equally popular, then let your own sense of aesthetics decide the tie.

I'm kinda fond of the 5.5 it seems balanced and not to long. But I collect any length.
