Concealed carry guns for your girl.

Have you checked out the Sig p938? It's virtually the same size as the 238 but in 9mm. My wife has the same issue racking the slide on most 9mm and up guns so I did some research on different carry pistols and it seems the 938 was easier to rack than many others. Off to the store we went to check them out and she was able to rack it no problem. Checked a couple other options just to be sure and the 938 was definitely easy enough for her to have no issue with compared to the others.

Yes it’s high on my list....thx.

The S&W .380 EZ is the size of a Glock 19.
Medium sized, not very compact.
I handled one and think it would make a great home defense gun vehicle defense gun and general open carry gun for women, but I'm not sure about deeply concealed carry on a petite female .

The other hand, if she doesn't mind it printing and letting some of her people in class with her know that she's packing then that should be fine. Georgia's canpus carry law does not prevent a sloppily concealed gun under your clothing even if it bulges rather obviously.

if it turns out that a 380 pistol is the best for your daughter then get it. A .380 has enough stopping power for 90% of the situations you'll ever encounter, and chances are if she needs "more gun" than a 380, she probably needs more gun than any handgun. It would be carbine /shotty/ subgun time!

Due to the laws of physics a 9 mm pistol has to have a stiffer recoil spring than a 380 ACP because it operates at twice the chamber pressure.

So what is your wife, GF, Daughter carrying on her person?

My Daughter is wanting to carry on school campus (yeah baby) never thought I’d say that....school campus ....thanks Gov Deal for not being a puss.

Anyways she’s looking for something ultra concealable but easy to rack and not a pile of crap.
I got her a sig p238 and she hates that it’s too small.

I let her carry my shield 9 and she’s loves it, shoots it well but has a really hard time racking it.
I’ve got her a Galco hybrid IWB belt holster for the shield.
It conceals well but she really wants something she can rack easier.
She knows that more shooting time will make the action easier but she wants to buy her own pistol and does NOT want a revolver .
This is where I need your suggestions.
Are the ladies in your lives happy with a nice 9mm semi auto that is easy to rack with decent concealability?
Yeah my Daughter is very petite and does not have a lot of grip strength like us big burly guys do.
Sorry revolver lovers .....she is very opposed to revolvers.
I know....I tried but you can’t tell a woman anything.

Just want to get some ideas before I take her to the shop to try out different models.

Darn I traded off sooo many cool small pistols over the years that she could have chosen from had I kept them.....can’t keep them all.

My wife carries a Glock 23 most of the time but has started carrying a Glock 43 since I found it in her favorite color! Lol
