Anybody on here collect Confederate money or know much about it? I came across 4 bills recently in an estate sale and would like to know a little about them? They arent in great shape but not too bad considering they're 150 years old.

I collect all kinds of currency. I even have a 1780 shilling, but the CSA money is something that cost as much as you are willing to pay due to peoples "want". I have seen them sell for as little as $5 for a .50c piece to around $100 for a $5 piece, almost like they adjust for inflation. If you have them, keep them and pass them on, thats something that is not being made anymore and with each year goes by, less are found.

Take them for an appraisal to a local coin shop, they can see if they are real, or counterfeit as that has happened, even back then they had an issue with it so before you sell it, you know what they are truely worth
