Considering reloading - worth it?

I'd be concerned if there's no way to identify a physical address. And there's no physical address.

There are usually other clues. If they're selling on the internet, they'll usually have language on the site that talks about how if you're a resident of Connecticut and California, that you have to provide supporting documentation for them to ship.

They claim they're an "Ammoseek Certified Reseller" and they have nothing for sale on Ammoseek.

If you try and navigate around their website using the menu - there's no content there. Are they a scam site? I dunno. They certainly don't look like a real company. Send 'em an email and see what comes back.

And it's a shame, 'cos I'd really like to place an order for this:

Lemme post their facebook page here so people can judge for themselves.

Jamin McCallum by the way is the founder of Palmetto State Armory. The bio on Z Tactical's Facebook page was lifted directly from here:

There is a Z Tactical Arms registered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, so maybe you could check if the owner is involved in the business:

It's not unheard of for a dormant registered company to be hijacked.

But, bogus ammo vendors aside, reloading really isn't a way to save money on plinking ammo for common calibers.

If you have unusual needs or hard-to-source calibers or loadings, or you have an interest in keeping yourself busy instead of watching TV, it can be a worthwhile and engaging hobby.

I know it's late in this post but just my opinion. If you're a high income earner and can afford to "hoard" ammo, I'd just buy 5 years worth of ammo and replace as shot. Nothing is more uncertain than the future!

I've been retired for almost 5 years and I've been accumulating powder, bullets and primers since the Obama years. I only reload for pistol cartridges (9mm, 45ACP and .38 special). This weekend I'm going to load 1,000 rds of 9mm, it will take me about 6 hours on my Dillon XL650. I probably won't need to load any more till the fall when its cooler in the garage.

You will need to base your need to reload on how much you shoot and can you dedicate the time to learn how to reload properly.

I don't hunt, I only shoot my AR-15's for fun and of course I have been accumulating 22LR ammo for 1 pistol and 2 rifles.

I'm a member of gun club which is 62 miles from home, I try to get to the club at least once a month and I usually have the pistol ranges to myself.
6 hours to do 1000 on a 650???? You must not have a case feeder or bullet feeder. Hell, I can do 1000 on my 550 quicker than 6hrs. I have a Dillion 1100 and can do 1000 in less than an hour.

I had to look that up. Mine's just an old turret press. I guess it would take me 10hrs to load 1000rds. Never loaded that many in one sitting anyway. Course I only have @ $400 invested in my setup. That's dies and all

I do have a case feeder. I’m not in a rush. I have to stop and load primers, I still hand fill the tubes and eyeball the powder level on each pull. And the occasional 380 case has to be dealt with.

added:

But it is sure faster than my first press which was a Lee turret!

Getting into reloading? Saving money? That's iffy. However, it was my experience with a Dillon RL550b I used it for about 30 years and then sold it for more than I paid for it and sold it quickly. Reloading in general is fun and therapeutic. It will turn you into a brass whore, scheduling your range time toward the end of the day so you can assist the range management with tidying up range before closing. I admit me and my wife kind of enjoy sitting in the shop dividing the range brass by caliber. You'll get to the point where you trust your finger tips as well as your eyes when handling brass. Start collecting coffee cans now.

I had the Lee Progressive, turns out 100 pistol rounds pretty quickly....once you setup everything correctly and optimize a few things (Youtube is your friend). I changed my process to weigh every Tare empty shell and powder drop and then seat and crimp using progressive. If I had it to do over I would start with the turret press.
I am shooting USPSA 9mm now and can mail order Magtech Steel case for $0.22/round. With primers at $0.08 and boolits at $0.12 I just keep shooting the cheap stuff, ymmv. When I reloaded 10mm I got a more accurate load for about $0.03- $0.05/rnd cheaper....
