Contact the ATF to keep pistol braces legal (merged threads)

Paying the tax on SBR, and suppressors shows that people are willing to do so. When they move "assault weapons" and "High Capacity" magazine to the NFA list ( Which I assume they can do with just a change in regulation) they have precedent.
And I'm sure the government has no issue with that. Keep in mind they want that money.

To amend the National Firearms Act to include or dismiss items requires legislation.

All this BS of "pistol braces", binary triggers, bumps fire sticks, etc were all allowed due to an ATF TFB ruling. That can get changed at their leisure.

The NFA is an act that was voted on and put into law by congress and signed by the POTUS. It would take the same to change existing law as far as I know. Just as the $200 tax stamp has been the same since 1934 because it was literally "An Act of Congress".

so it’s not getting revoked anytime soon...or ever, actually.

Except for when the ATF does a spot check on your records to make sure you're in compliance, and then photo copies them...

Then visits people to ask them why they purchased so many things...

Ask me how I know...

I don't doubt it. I haven't been inspected in 4 years, but the pawn shop I worked for got inspected yearly. I never saw her photo copy anything but I know they can do random little audits of pretty much anything they want.

buddy i do hear what u r saying, but for ****s sake. if you have a cell phone or a computer. they know EVERYTHING. And does it really even matter?

They must be freaking busy tracking all the new gun sales and close to 400 million guns scattered around the US.
How many private sales here and other forums are tracked. Only people I see falling in line with this new regime are the snowflakes that got scare during the riots and brought their first gun while chanting defund the police.

Nope, that's not how it works boomer. 4473's just go in my file cabinet. No one knows it's there besides me, in 20 years I'll dispose of it.

But most people are ignorant and think there already is some type of registration process when they buy a gun, and that line of ignorant thinking is gonna make it easy for Joe Biden to register their guns for real.

They could feasibly seize all documents systematically from every FFL. Academy does it digitally now so even easier.
They have no way to track private sales though. Good thing I sold all my guns and brought Truck.

Ive seen this coming for a while.

SBR is codified in law, so if you got your stamp nothing to worry about.

Anything that is issued on an ATF approval letter is subject to arbitrary revocation by ATF.
I'm amused to see the ATF cracking down on ridiculous loopholes and cheapskates that have spent all this money to try and circumvent the NFA.

People gonna keep pushing until they start codifying the actual mechanical actions and their respective parts. That's your back door to registration. It'll be easier to leave all ARs as ... Because they have the ability to be readily convertible to...

Pay the tax, get the stamp and quit *****!ng.
