My guess is that the USA will be OK.

New cases are growing exponentially - ie.. fast as h3ll. I would wager that many Chinese will die. Also, if it gets a hold in places like India and Africa, the death toll will be very great.

If it gets bad in Hong Kong, the world markets will get knocked for a loop.

Tried to preemptively pick up some anti-viral masks yesterday, everyone is sold out. So, there’s that. Main worry right now is getting on a plane for a long flight, and breathing that recirculated air for hours. Only time I’ve had the flu I caught it on a Dallas to Atlanta flight, and the wife’s planning us a trip to LA.

Just FYI...

the average airplane's cabin air is completely refreshed about 20 times per hour. You probably caught it in the lobby at Hartsfield.
