I see the CO-vd Death rate 379 total for the state of GA. I have to ask the tough question. How many people died from Drugs? Murder? Flu , Cancer? Old Age, Diabetes? ETC in the last 6 weeks. I am sure this has been debated endlessly.
“We are grateful a growing number of people are recovering from COVID-19 in our community, and today we were thrilled to celebrate the release of our first patient who had been intubated and treated in our intensive care unit. She is doing well and will continue to recover at home with her family. Unfortunately, today, we also reported two additional deaths of COVID patients today. Our ICU continues to be filled with patients who are seriously ill because of the virus. We have been working closely with other hospitals around the state to transfer patients in need of intensive care when our unit is unable to accept additional patients. Over the last two days, we transferred three COVID-19 patients, and we appreciate the other hospitals that are helping us make sure all patients are getting the level of care they need,” said Brandi Lunneborg, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Chief Executive Officer.

Phoebe Reports Tuesday COVID-19 Numbers
Albany, Ga. – As of noon Tuesday, these were all Phoebe-related COVID-19 test results:
- Total Positive Results – 1,505
- Total Positive Deaths from Phoebe Main – 45
- Total Positive Deaths from Phoebe Sumter – 7
- Total Positive Patients in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital – 131
- Total Positive Patients in Phoebe Sumter Medical Center - 26
- Total Positive Patients in Phoebe Worth Medical Center – 0
- Total Patients Awaiting Test Results – 487
- Total Negative Results – 2,247
- Total Patients Recovered – 540
Honest question are these numbers truly overwhelming? If so I am scared. 3752 people total over a few weeks causing a hospital to be overwhelmed highlights how unprepared this country is for any sort of biological attack where everybody would truly be in panic and make a run on every hospital. Imagine a country like China or North Korea deciding to weaponize a virus like this. We have telegraphed our response and it would be foolish to think our enemies aren't watching. Maybe some good will come from this and we can figure out how to better prepare our medical system's response time in a catastrophic event.
I reckon kinda on the quiet side.45 posts in 8 and a half years?
That has to be some kind of record.
The hospital in Albany is not poorly managed
They had almost a normal years worth of supplies in their warehouse.
They have moved a lot of COVID patients to other nearby hospitals
You read Bloomberg ? Lol
Why can't we do this:
Japan has earmarked $2.2 billion of its record economic stimulus package to help its manufacturers shift production out of China

I don't like clicking on and supporting websites whose political stance I don't agree with. Most probably a drop in the ocean not to be noticed but oh well. I do listen to all manner of radio in the car, get to listen to opposing views without feeling like doing so could be construed as any sort of support. It's mentally lazy to read only things you agree with. You never know whether the information is true, or you just want it to be true so you believe it's true thus deluding yourself.

I live in Albany, and Phoebe Hospital System bought up most of the small community hospitals in the area which now enables them to have access to extra bed space. Their backlog of supplies is close to being used up. Area churches are utilizing people who can sew to make cloth masks. And they have been receiving mask donations from around the state. GEMA is building a container hospital in the parking lot of the old Phoebe North which is a shutdown empty hospital (formerly HCA Palmyra). I don't understand why they haven't moved into the old hospital or at least renovate it for temporary occupancy.
