It has already been shown that reinfection happens. If it is because the body fails to develop immunity after an infection, you can kiss the idea of a vaccine goodbye.

Herpes is like this and work to develop a vaccine has been unsuccessful for 100 years.

The news is not getting better.

People were released when mouth swabs came back negative. Some still had virus in their gut. Anal swabs are more accurate. i am not sold they were true reinfections.
