Well the Nova makes better sense. If you can only afford one.....I'm still kicking myself in the ass.
Fall of '68, I'm car shopping. Baker Motors on Peachtree had on their used lot:
Two 'Vette coupes.
A burgundy '66 with 427, 4speed, factory side pipes and knockoff wheels with the red stripe Tiger paws, $3200
And a black '67 427/435 with 4 speed. $3000.
My dumb ass went down the street to Central Chevrolet and bought a new '69 Nova SS, 396/350 4 speed for that same $3000.
