Cowboy Movies

I'm going to have quite a bit of tv time here soon (gotta love paid vacation) so I was thinking of brushing up on some old cowboy movies. What are some of your favorites and why? Favorite characters? I've spent some time recently watching the old "Bonanza" and "The Big valley" on tv but I'm sure I need to watch some old classics. Here's one of my favorites.

Tombstone was definitely the better of the two Wyatt Earp movies IMHO. Val Kilmer played a great Doc Holiday. Lots of good movies already mentioned. Definitely any spaghetti western, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Open Range, Lonesome Dove, 3:10 to Yuma, The Missing.

Also if you have Netflix, check out Exit Humanity. It is a Zombie Civil War movie that is actually not a zombie gorefest and is quite good.

On the small screen one of my favorite TV mini-series about the West is Centennial. It is centered in Colorado and is based upon the book by the same name by James A. Michener.
