My son is interested in cowboy six shooter pistols. What are some recommendations from those of you who like the cowboy guns? What type of gun belt? I love the John Wayne westerns and that 1880’s gunman style.

Uberti makes some fine stuff too.
As stated above, Rugers FTW... their stuff is strong, accurate, and mostly period correct .
Get a dbl bbl shotty SxS from Stoeger....they do not have the rabbit ear hammers but will work just fine.
Marlin lever gun (expensive, but worth it) .
Leather is all a matter of preference, you will spend as much for leather than you will for a new Ruger, for everything you need that is.
Used stuff is great....inspect in person before committing to buy.

If he's old enough for 9mm ruger makes a single action Blackhawk in 9mm/357 magnum that has very little recoil in 9mm
Also suggest a good book or two on Cowboy Action shooting.... mcgivern, Skelton, and a few others put out a couple/3 books with great info. I have one id be glad to donate to him provided i get it back. Or i can give you a decent price on it.
