We will be hosting Dennis Martin of CQB Services International for two days of training at the Watkinsville location.
Dennis is currently residing in Britain, but has decades of hands on experience working close protection for high value targets. He's trained SWAT teams, security forces, various elements from international military organizations, and thousands of students from the private sector around the world. A limited resume for Dennis can be found at the end of this post.
Dennis will be the keynote speaker at the 2016 annual GALEFI (Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors) conference. He's teaching two courses in Americus Georgia prior to the conference, then offering two courses in Watkinsville. The courses in Watkinsville, GA will be:
EPIC (Enhanced Performance in Confrontations), which is a blend of hard skills (strikes and combatives) and edged weapon work. This is an excellent course to build your confidence with your hands in the instances when you may not be able to carry a firearm or may not be able to access it immediately.
HRP (Pistol Skills for High Risk Personnel), which is a one-day pistol course focusing on a blend between hard combatives skills and the use of a pistol for defense. The program places the students under stress and requires them to solve shooting problems through the use of hard combative skills and firearm use. Not every situation will begin as a deadly force encounter. HRP provides a model for escalating the use of force based on the level of aggression you are facing.
EPIC is scheduled for Saturday, August 27th and the cost will be $175.00 per student.
HRP is scheduled for Sunday, August 28th and the cost will be $225.00 per student.
Georgia POST credit will be awarded to any law enforcement officer attending this training.

- Close-protection operative/team leader for Royal, Diplomatic and executive entities 1973 to present. Has worked throughout Europe, USA, Middle East, North Africa and the Far East. Worked for the Royal Families of five countries during this period. Also worked for corporate entities, including US Aerospace industry.
- Instructor in VIP Close-protection to several African/Middle East Government agencies.
- In 1985 founded CQB SERVICES to offer VIP Close-protection training. We now have associates in, Europe, USA and RSA.
