I just live out in rural coweta county. I grew up on a cattle farm in Louisiana and didn't have as many different critters running about as I have here. I think # 6 is one of the yellow jacket nest I dug up. I hate those damn demon flying stingers. If you find the nest just pour a coke can of gas down the hole, the fumes kill them all and you can come back the next day and dig them up.

Also have these things by the hundreds in my yard, haven't seen these since I was in high school back in Louisiana.

That thing is huge! I dunno if I could have picked it up like that and been cool with it!

how does one get squirrel to get that close to them? the only squirrel I ever snuck up on in my yard was a blind, couldn't move its tail and deaf squirrel that i let eat birdseed because i pitied the poor fellow. It also had a scar on his face
I call him the war squirrel

Haha, they just hiss really loud when you pick them up. 3clicks_Off 3clicks_Off is right they're eastern lubber grasshoppers. We called them graveyard crickets growing up in louisiana.

Gotta raise them from babies, my wife's ankle biter brought the first one up, we found the rest of them in the woods and raised them. They still come up and climb up on you to eat.

Just saved this snake from death, it was about to cross the boundary my wife has established as her critter free safe zone. While I was holding it up a dragonfly landed on it and my son got a pic. I think it's pretty cool
