Oh yeah of course, nah man I’d rather get the real stuff, I was just wondering if anyone ever messed with legit knock offs lol. It’s scary to see them look that legit, like say if you bought them from a third party seller online and didnt obviously know.
Look up sitemark. They make a model that is super similar and easily mistaken for an EOtech. Decent reviews as well. I think they are under $50 and you could pay a laser engraver $30 to put Eotech on it. Just a thought.

This. You're just pooping away $150 for maybe a years worth of range time. If you really want to flash EoTech's name on your gear without actually owning it, after 2 years (2x $150 setups that fall apart) you could get a real one. They've been on sale for $250ish (not the magnifier) so they aren't THAAAAT expensive any more.
This, but again if OP wants to look like he has expensive taste, he's looking for the name stamp above all else.

Agreed... I've since become believer in buying quality.

I actually didn't care about the name, just though it might be a decent red dot at a low price. Didn't know much about the various red dots and such back then. Second time was because the first was still working well. Of course both of them broke down completely right after that.

I agree on the buy once cry once motto lol I was just curious if anyone ever experienced these. Now the same website sells knock off microtechs and I’ve considered those just based on all the reviews on them

Sight Mark Ultra Shot all the way. Not the quick detach one but the fixed one. The cowitness with flip up sights perfectly so detach is not needed. Throw it up to your shoulder and where ever the dot is, close to bottom or sides of the glass if the dot is on target that's where it will hit. You don't have to center the red dot. I have had one on a rifle for over 3 years and it's never lost it's zero. On battery is all it has used. I keep an etra in my storage compartment on my Magpul ACS stock.
