Looking over the for sell forum I am seeing a lot of adds for custom guns, mostly Glock. So what is the difference between a modified glock and a custom glock? Where or what make a modded glock a custom glock?

I don't think there's a difference. Modded and custom r the same to me. "Stippling" with a soldering gun at the kitchen table is not modded or custom. Lol. I'm all for a good grip job on a glock, which to me is TTI or Zev doing the work.

custom
adjective cus·tom
Simple Definition of custom
  • : made to fit the needs or requirements of a particular person

  • : doing work that fits the needs or requirements of a particular person

KEY word here,,,,,,,,, particular. What is custom to one may very well be a big turn off or junk to someone else.

I agree with this definition. Usually, however, most "custom" work = bubba to the max and makes such a firearm highly undesirable to me.

The same goes for "rare" which merely means uncommon and not necessarily worth more or more desirable. For example, a gold plated turd is "rare" but not necessarily worth more or more desirable than a non-gold plated turd.
