CVA Optima breech plug

My son bought a used CVA Optima and the quick breech plug is stuck. Any idea how to get it out? Supposed to just screw out with your fingers. I believe the previous owner didn’t put any anti-serve on the threads

have you guys tried soaking it in some kroil?

Not yet. Just bought it and tried to shoot it yesterday evening.
