I grew up in Daytona I remember as a kid watching people try to dig out their heavy 70's Detroit gas guzzlers sunk to the door sills in the sand.

I did also, after about a week even my windshield had rust on it !!!! and my legs felt like jelly......
Heck, I felt better riding the NC's tail of the dragon three times in a roll

Our first house was built in 1890.

My late Uncle had a 1800s built home down there. He could see it from his office that was across the river. He showed me where the nascar drivers used to turn around to drive on the beach. Lots of fond memories from Daytona!
