He should hang himself if he's ready to go. I'd love to pull the switch/button/ whatever. To bad they make it so humane. He should have his chance to appeal, but it should not take 15 years, and you get one. So irritated.

Problem is, he's 100% truthful. It's not that the death penalty is a deterrent; it's the fact that it's so rarely carried out that makes it a non-deterrent. That's why so many have no fear of it. They know that it's rarely imposed; subject to countless appeals; better chance it's commuted to life in prison; and always subject to new trial and reduced sentance on appeal. A few years ago I read that at the current rate of execution, it would take over 150 years to execute the indidviduals on death row at that current time. Also, that even then, it's 40% more likely that a white male will reach execution.
Somehow I don't think he trul believes what he has written or he wouldn't have written it in the first place. Humans crave freedom, and prison isn't it..tv and ac or not.
you can appeal, but why does the appeal needlessly need to interfere with an execution for more than half a decade, les alone for several decades.
i like due process and all, but the death penalty is a joke. its several times more expensive than to keep someone incarcerated for life. i mean i like how the japanese handle their criminals (average death row stay is 7 years i think)
gee, 7 years to get your sentence commuted. i feel like if you dont get it done in 7 years your wasting everyones time and money
