Thanks for the advice Mtber. I finally got where I can afford a new AR and people go nutty for them. It figures.

dont buy one right now, assemble one yourself. it doesnt take too much effort and its fun parts shopping. http://www.ar15builder.com/ see the instructional videos at the bottom of the page if you havent done it before. as long as you get a complete upper assembly (PSA, etc) you wont need special tools or any know-how really.
