Delayed

I've purchased probably a dozen guns over the last three years.. Have no record , not even a traffic violation in 18 years no warrants etc.. And today I got "delayed" while at my local gun store. What are causes...was trading firearm so holding my gun and the gun I was purchasing...what do I do??

I think I read an article we are at maximum for back ground checks lately? Record month in April. I hate to say it but it's going to get nutty by November.

First thing I'd do is go back to the store and get back the gun you were trading till the delay is cleared. There's no reason they should have a hold on the gun you were trading if it's legitimately yours.

Yeah I don't think they have a right to keep YOUR gun.

They should NOT have kept your gun. The delay could simply be that NICS is busy and couldn't process it at the time. Nothing to worry about there, it happens.

CARRY PERMIT DOES AWAY WITH PROBLEM. I KNOW SEVERAL GUYS WHO HAD PROBLEMS EVERYTIME AND THEY GOT CARRY PERMIT TO END HASSEL!
