it is but if you mod it to take standard AK mags must be 922R . Or you can just use the 5 or 10 round Molot mags.

It is sold as a sporting/hunting rifle... One you make the changes to accept AK Mags, it then falls under the 922R requirements..... I am no 922R expert

Why would I modify it to take AK mags...? It is a 12 gauge? Besides the Saiga, are there other 12G AKs out there? Is the point to convert so you can use Saiga/higher capacity mags?

he derailed, talking about a x39 he ordered, not the 12ga.
There are the chinese clones, catamount. pass.

these take Vepr mags and SGM makes a decent 10/12rder and you can get 25rd drums.

And I do agree .... Why would anyone need, or want, to change the configuration of the Vepr 12... Actually, does a 12 ga ever fall under 922R... I do not know
