So Ihave a question for the come and take it crowd and I've pondered my own actions as well, so they come kicking your door down warrantless in a state of martial law, are you actually going to "give bullets first" ?

ill probably hide my guns

people impersonate the police all the time. police impersonate police (red dog ring a bell)
after all, they are just people
I guess I mean if you know it is police, doing unconstitutional things, I'm a hide em' till the neighborhood bands together with all of ours type, not gonna go alone against that.

also, im not the type to bushwhack someone on suspicion they are after me gold, but for the most part its a "ok, you government agent, stay over there and ill stay over here........this distance will work out just fine for the both of us"

Yep. Lets not forget the 15+ officers that killed a number of unarmed civilians. We should always keep in mind the events that took place on the Danziger bridge.

It's interesting to read all the "cold dead hands" comments. I'm sure they are well intentioned; but I am equally sure they are unrealistic for the most part. An unorganized, armed citizenry might be able to fend off small groups of rioting rabble; but there is no way for such a group to stand against the resources of the big green machine should martial law be declared.
If they decide to take your guns, they will take them...it's as simple as that. If you choose to oppose them with force, they will take you, too....or worse. Perhaps, you are willing to die for your beliefs; but where does that leave your family once you are gone? For that matter, what happens to your family if you turn your home into a hostile target with your loved ones inside? Don't believe for a moment that LE or military personnel won't return fire if you initiate a fire fight with them. In their minds, they will only be doing their job. If you attempt to prevent them from doing it with force, they will respond with greater force.
God forbid that such events should ever unfold in our Country; but, if they should, don't be naive about the final outcome.
