Diesel exhaust fluid

All my stuff is older but don’t modern diesel 25’s and 3500s get about 28 to 30 mile per gallon nowadays?
Empty?

Lol no. My 2001 7.3 averaged 21. My 2003 6.0 got 23 average. 2004 6.0 got 17 but it was a 350 SRW 8’ bed. 2005 duramax dually was a pile anxious averaged 12.

My 2011 6.7 averaged 14 before full delete and 14,6 after. Keep in mind it was the lightest and smallest of them all as it was the only 250 crew 6.5 bed. All the others were 8’ beds and most were one ton plus the 7.3 and 6.0 Powerstroke was heavier than the 6.7.

The epa ****ed diesel and they aren’t done.

Yeah, that was the plan. I don’t know if they added the 10 speed later and that’s what the difference is, but the guys over on the Ford trucks forum are averaging 18, 19, even 20 miles per gallon with a 7.3+ 10 speed tranny. Ford doesn’t publish Fuel economy data for the superduty because they are so heavy GCRW, but from what I am seeing they are getting much better fuel economy in the 7.3was ever estimated to get.

Of course you can’t touch one now without a $10,000 addendum since everybody wants one, so there really is no savings currently.

I never saw better than 17 in my 6.7 and that was driving 55 miles an hour babying the truck trying to get as much mileage as I could.

Do you trust the WH data and al jazeera? I am guessing that is one of the foreign sources you referenced. You have to admit that all so called news services are just propaganda spewing shills.

Nope, no Al Jazeera. And that's why I watch various sources and check various data. So many people will see something on a website or posted by their buddy on social media, and assume it's true without verifying. Why? Because they get it from their favorite extremist source that aligns with their wacked out beliefs.

Saying "it's all propaganda" doesn't necessarily mean it's a lie. And a lot of people on here will dismiss anything they don't want to agree with. Not because they have proof.

Hey, we’ve got lots of proof, and it’s all 80 or above.

Agreed, but propaganda is designed to make you come up with a conclusion that they want you to come up with.
I can tell you things that are true, in a way that would make you come to a incorrect conclusion.

That’s not what I’ve seen. I hear more 14-16 mpg on the highway. Maybe a 2wd with 3.55 gears keeping speed under 65 will get a little more, but both the 6.2 and 7.3 don’t exactly sip gas.

Agreed, that's why I seek info from varying sources across the spectrum and outside of just the media.
