Local diesel tech but we are a ways from that area. We see a lot of 7.3s, I daily an ‘01 ZF6 truck.Just bought my first Diesel - 2000 F250 with the 7.3, ZF6 transmission. Of course I get it home and start driving it a few days and I get a check engine light intermittently while downshifting. Not sure what the issue is, can’t really replicate it. Although it feels like I get a dead pedal for a moment, the service engine light comes on, then it powers up again. I thought I was just not in gear, which is possible. Or maybe a bad TPS sensor based on my googles?
Anywho, any suggestions on a good diesel mechanic in the Kennesaw, Marietta, Dallas area? Maybe a local trader who is down to teach a newbie a couple things? I’ll pay you for your time ofc.
