Dillon powder funnel rust

Setting up a new to me XL750 and going thru my 550 parts and realized a few of my Dillon powder funnels have a bit of rust on them.

what's the best way to clean them up?
options I have on hand:
1) ultrasonic cleaner
2) parts washer w/ scotch pads
3) evaporust solution
4) stainless pin tumbler I use for brass and suppressor parts

Oddly enough they were all stored in the same case but 2 of them have a decent amount of surface rust but the other 6 or 7 all look pretty much good as new

scotchbrite pad in safety clean tank will be quick and dirty and probably work fine. Would be interested to see how tumbling it with pins would do

Have you tried throwing them in dry media tumbler. Not sure how well it works but might be worth a try.

Trash em and get plastic

I’m going to toss them in the ss tumbler and see how that does. Figured with brass it cleans the inside and outside so should be good with steel.

I wasn't sure what was going on. all of the dies are stored in the same storage container (like the type you would store fishing lures in with divided sections) and always in a climate controlled area, guessing the three that have rusted haven't been used or have seen very little use.

41mag when you say plastic- I have a 3d printer, are you printing and using plastic funnels?

I just bought an XL750 and have printed a couple of the case feed adapter plates and looking at some other stuff to print.

Ran the tumbler for about 2 hours with some 223 brass that needed cleaning. IMHO it worked just fine. it's not a nice polished surface (and it does look at lot better in person than in the photos) but all the rust is gone, I can read the letters easily and everything is smooth. I'll clean them up a bit with some polish and I'm sure they will be good to go.

No, I haven’t got to the plastic printing stage . I just use the same ones I had for years and my dad had for years ….lol.
That plastic printing is something I was wanting to look into though. I think it could come in handy eventually.

I just went through mine. I've got 12 different funnels and 2 of one (G) and 3 of another (B). Probably list them soon and pick up a few that I need (A, N, and P)

I've got a 3d printer and have made a couple of the case feed adapter and they seem to be working well (printed the 223 adapter as I had everything else to start making some rounds except that, the press came with a 300bo conversion kit). Will print out the others I need the next day or two and then it looks like I mainly just need the shell plates to be able to run some calibers on the 750.
