I was hanging out at a range after a match about 10 years ago and saw a well known local gun guy and a gun rag writer trade shots with each other standing next to targets. They wanted proof of their nerve.

It is actually the video version of photoshop. You can always tell fake video by the smoke and/or fire. Even modern rendering programs can't get it right. Looks more like steam than smoke.

Whenever you see that-you know fakeness abounds.
